🎨 Museo de Arte Precolombino Felipe Orlando

One of Benalmádena Pueblo's cultural treasures, the Museo de Arte Precolombino Felipe Orlando houses one of southern Spain's finest collections of Pre-Columbian art. Opened in 1970, the museum was created through the generosity of Cuban-Mexican artist Felipe Orlando, who donated hundreds of artefacts spanning more than 5,000 years of history.
The museum's collection showcases the remarkable civilisations of ancient Central and South America, including the Maya, Aztec, Inca and other indigenous cultures. Visitors can explore beautifully crafted ceramics, jewellery, sculptures, ritual objects and everyday artefacts that reveal the artistic achievements and beliefs of these early societies.
Following an extensive renovation, the museum now combines modern exhibition techniques with historical interpretation, making it an engaging experience for visitors of all ages.

The Centro de Exposiciones is Benalmádena's principal contemporary art gallery, hosting a changing programme of temporary exhibitions throughout the year. 🏰 Castillo Monumento Colomares
Although primarily known as a monument dedicated to Christopher Columbus, Castillo Monumento Colomares is also one of Benalmádena's finest examples of artistic architecture. Constructed between 1987 and 1994 by Dr Esteban Martín and two local craftsmen, every wall, archway and tower incorporates handcrafted sculptures, mosaics and symbolism inspired by Spain's Christian, Islamic and Jewish artistic traditions.
The monument is effectively an open-air work of art, blending Gothic, Romanesque, Byzantine and Mudéjar architecture into a unique visual experience.
